Product Review: Zurvita
Disclosure: I was given this product in exchange for this post. All opinions here are my own.
Zurvita, a wellness store, is now selling collagen in gel form.
I tried this out along with two drink packet flavors, and these are my thoughts.
Zundora: Antioxidant collagen boosting hydrolyzed-gel
Unlike gels used for fitness and running, this had a thin texture and was pretty easy to take down. The blackberry flavor was tart and slightly sweet. I recommend this product for those on the go who don’t want to take collagen as a shake or in pill form.
There is one serving per gel with 35 calories, 5 grams of carbs, 4 grams of sugar and 2 grams of protein.
Zurvita Zeal for Life: Mango and Wild Berry Nutritional Drink Mixes
These packets claimed to give “Focus, energy and health”.
To mix, use 6 oz of water in a protein shaker bottle or blender. Because of the small amount of water used, the mango flavor was overpowering, causing me to chug it down fast. On the other hand, wild berry tasted better than mango. In fact, it tasted like strawberry.
I’m not sure if it was a placebo effect, but I did have a small burst of energy after (the packets state that they contain “naturally occurring caffeine”). However, I did not experience any jittery after-effects.
There is one serving per packet with 50 calories, 4 grams of sugar, 10 grams of carbs, and 0 grams of protein for mango, but 1 gram of protein for wild berry.
