Tenayo Sauces bring the taste of Mexico in four flavors. Ranging from mild and tangy to rich and chocolately, they all deserve a place in your pantry.

Here is what I thought of each sauce and what I paired them with.

Red Mole

Slightly smokey, with a subtle chocolate taste. I drizzled this on rice, tomatoes, and grilled chicken.

Black Mole

More rich than the red mole, there is a subtle spice that slowly builds the more you eat it. I love this one – it’s my favorite, hands down. I ate this with sausages, vegetables, and rice.

Spicy Al Pastor

Mildly spicy and very smokey. It was a little tangy, but not sweet. I paired this with pork, vegetables, and rice.

Poblano BBQ

I found this to be sweet. It was my least favorite of the four, but I still enjoyed it. I used it in a pork sandwich with habanero cheese and white cheddar.
