Product Review: Steeped Coffee
Disclosure: I was given this product in exchange for this post. All opinions here are my own.
Hailing from Santa Cruz in California, Steeped Coffee comes in single-serve packs, much like a tea bag. The packs are compostable and free from staples and glue.
All you need to make this coffee is hot water and a mug. This is especially handy for travel or while working in an office, especially if you are only making a cup for yourself.
Here are the flavors I tried along with my thoughts. To test these out, I drank each coffee black in order to fully experience the blends in their purest form.
Sunrise Blend
- Light roast
- Pleasant, airy flavor. This coffee’s strength lies in the subtly.
- Great for those who don’t like the stereotypical coffee taste.
California Blend
- Medium roast
- Slightly stronger than the light roast, but not bitter.
- Subtle nutty taste.
Odyssey Blend
- Dark roast
- Bitter and very rich – not for those who are “new” to coffee.
- Felt a burst of energy after drinking this one.
Breakwater Blend
- Organic French roast
- My favorite of the bunch.
- It had the most flavor of the pack: smooth and dark, but not harsh.
