Product Review: Lola’s Fine Hot Sauce and Salsas
Disclosure: I was given five salsas and one hot sauce bottle in exchange for this post. All opinions here are my own.

Lola’s Fine Hot Sauce started in Des Moines, IA back in 2015. What began as a mother’s secret hot sauce recipe is now a line of sauces and salsas sold nationwide and in countries like the Philippines, Canada, the Virgin Islands, and Australia.
I love hot sauce and was ecstatic when I was sent not just a bottle of the Original Hot Sauce, but all five of their salsa flavors. These included Hatch Chile & Sweet Corn, Smoked Bacon & Sweet Corn, Mild, Sweet Roasted Reaper, and Sweet & Spicy Mango. Unfortunately, one of the salsas leaked and two others were already opened. For safety precautions, I disposed of them and sampled the Mild flavor as well as the Hatch Chile & Sweet Corn.
The Original Hot Sauce is a new favorite in my book. I am over the moon for this one! It’s smoky with a hint of lime and gives a slow creep of a burn. It’s the perfect amount of spice: just enough to leave a lingering effect in your mouth, yet not give acid reflux. The bottle was practically empty in about a week.
The Mild salsa had a fresh tomato taste, but the consistency was too watery for me. I do prefer my salsa to be a bit thicker. Nonetheless, it will still be a great flavor for those that do not like spicy dips and such.
The Hatch Chile & Sweet Corn was my favorite of the two salsas. This green salsa, although tasty, was not spicy in my opinion. However, I mixed it with the hot sauce and it took the salsa to another level. I recommend topping this on chicken especially.
