Product Review: Laoban Dumplings
Disclosure: I was given these products in exchange for this post. All opinions here are my own.
Laoban Dumplings are easy to cook and make a great appetizer for hosting, a fun date night at home, or an indulgent snack for yourself.
Just boil them right out of the freezer for about eight minutes and then pan sear them for some added crispiness. Serve with soy sauce or spice for some added kick! Flavors include Pork & Chive, Pork Soup, Livin’ on the Vedge, and Ginger Chicken.
Pork and Chive
This savory flavor was delicious on its own, but soy sauce enhanced the experience. The dumplings weren’t greasy, allowing me to indulge more than usual. Sour cream might be tasty and could bring out the chive flavoring more.
Ginger Chicken
Subtle ginger softens the sharp, but not overwhelming, taste of scallions. The flavors were well-balanced and enhanced each other.
Laoban Dumplings are great to serve as a snack for guests or as an appetizer before a night out. I have yet to try Pork Soup and Livin’ on the Vedge, but am confident I’ll have no complaints.
