Product Review: iLive Video Mate

iLive’s Video Mate is the desktop companion you didn’t know you needed. By using Bluetooth, users can use this wireless speaker for handsfree phone calls, video watching, podcast listening, and more.

I tested this device using both my Spotify app and while talking on the phone.

Using the buttons, you can control the volume up and down on apps like Spotify, but not for phone calls. The latter of which can be done on the actual phone. Additionally, you can pause apps and songs using one of the platform’s buttons (third from the left).

I love how compact this device is and that it doesn’t take up a ton of room. I will definitely use this to listen to podcasts while doing chores. The small charging cable is a plus: if you want to take this device on vacation and need to charge it, the size is not an inconvenience. This will probably be useful for those who want to film their fun trips.
