Disclosure: I was invited to dine at BC Tacos in exchange for this post. All opinions here are my own.
Everyone loves tacos. But at BC Tacos, you’ll want to get married to them.
For starters, this Coral Springs restaurant offers a Bacon Taco Shell. Yes, you read that correctly: it’s a shell woven entirely out of bacon. Filled with scrambled eggs, cheese and avocado slices, it’s the perfect breakfast taco. The crunchiness of the shell really makes the dish memorable.
Another innovative taco is the Chicken and Waffles variation. Here, fried chicken is topped with cheddar and cayenne pepper, all drizzled in maple syrup and housed in a waffle tortilla. This Southern dish will never be the same.
Of course, there are more traditional style taco shells for those who want a new flavor, but not necessarily an entirely new dynamic. Take the Banh Mi, for instance. Pork belly, cucumber, pickled daikon, carrots, jalapenos, and cilantro are all nestled in a traditional soft taco. Spicy chili peanut sauce adds a nice kick without being overwhelming.
Meat lovers will devour The Caveman, which is comprised of a burger patty, beef and braised short ribs on top of a hard shell wrapped in a soft shell with lettuce, tomato, cheddar.
The Chorizo, Egg and Potato is also a solid breakfast option for meat lovers who want more of a traditional style.
For those with a sweet tooth, there are two desert tacos available: Creme Brûlée and S’mores. The Creme Brûlée variation is encased in a crisp shell dusted with sugar while the S’mores taco is served warm and gooey. You can’t go wrong with either one, so might as well get both.
BC Tacos also offers brunch specials on Sundays. This includes half off appetizers, bogo beers, champagne on draft, and more. BC Tacos is located at 5781 Coral Ridge Dr., in Coral Springs. Their sister restaurant is called BC Cafe and is located at 4801 S. University Drive, Suite 123 in Davie. Visit bctacos.com.
