Disclosure: I was invited to dine at Riviera by Fabio Viviani in exchange for this post. All opinions here are my own.
If the name Fabio Vivani sounds familiar, it’s for a good reason. Hailing from Florence, the Italian chef appeared on the fifth season of Top Chef and came in fourth place. The «Top Chef Fan Favorite» also competed in «Top Chef: All Stars» in 2010. Other creds include starring in «Life After Top Chef» in 2012 and being the the host of Yahoo web series Chow Ciao, where he won a Webby Award for “Best Web Personality/Host”.

Walk outside the back door of Anuttara Yoga Shala and you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Be it the hidden oasis, the bright splashes of paint, or simple reprieve from an intense 90 minute yoga class, one thing is for certain: Joyfull, the new smoothie and soft serve bar located in the same area, is sure to bring a smile on your face.
Notably, Joyfull’s soft-serve vegan ice cream is the only oat milk-based product in the Delray Beach…

Nestled in the bustling Ave (Atlantic Ave, for those not familiar with Delray Beach) is a new addition to the restaurant scene: Amar. The perfect marriage between Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine, dishes are painstakingly created with a range of spices, textures, colors, and flavors. It may sound conflicting, but it works.
This paired with the cozy ambiance creates an atmosphere reminiscent of attending a gathering at a friend’s home. Albeit, the home of owners Nicolas and Susanna Kurban, plus their staff.
So you want to save the Earth and have no idea where to start. Whether you’ve been inspired by various green Instagram influencers or just want to avoid another year of intense natural disasters, you are well within your right to be concerned. UNICEF has pointed out that research from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) shows that we have about a decade to avoid climate change’s detrimental effects.
Now, this may seem overwhelming because oh, I don’t know, EVERYTHING IS COVERED IN PLASTIC. However, there are some simple ways to reduce your carbon footprint on this beautiful planet…
Three terms truly get under my skin when I see them in an Instagram bio: Wifey, Dog/Cat Mom, and Boss Babe. The last term, the one I find utterly abhorrent, also encompasses Girl Boss, Boss Lady, and the like.
I equate these hashtags and labels to the female who tries too hard. The one who wants to appear more important and higher up in the business hierarchy than she is. Much like the couples who post “happy” pictures nonstop versus the ones in fulfilling relationships who don’t have to shove their love in everyone’s…
The tumultuous 2020 has taken a huge toll on the economy, job market, travel industry, and every other aspect of our lives prior. For those fortunate enough to not lose loved ones, their job or home, the best case scenario was being driven stir crazy from stay at home orders and those they were living with.
However, in a very odd twist of fate, I find myself on the other end of the scale: I’m thriving and improving day by day. I have been able to use this time to reevaluate my goals, better myself, and examine relationships with a…
I’m not the fastest runner, but my ego suggests otherwise.
Training for my fifth marathon, I was working out ten times a week. Five of those were runs, three were HIIT classes and two were yoga classes. On each run, instead of including one speed day, I was pushing myself harder and faster each day. Every time was a chance for a PR and if I didn’t attain that goal, I was irritated.
After over a month of pushing myself, it happened. About half an inch above my left ankle, there was a slight twinge I felt when I walked…
Chances are, you always complained about not having enough time, and wished for more of it. Well, that wish came true, just not in the way you imagined it. With another surge of COVID-19 and increased mask mandates, we’ll be at home for a bit longer. Here are 8 ways to remain productive during quarantine.
If there’s even been a time to KonMari every single item you own, now is the time. Clothes, paperwork, photo albums, laptop documents, pictures on social media — nothing is off limits. When you’re done decluttering, tidy up and organize everything that’s left over.
Born in 1990 and at 30 years of age, I am a true millennial. With my generation came the advent of smart phones, faster technology and, of course, social media. Tumblr, AIM, Myspace — you name it, my generation has touched it.
Senior year, I finally created a Facebook (late to the game, believe it or not). From then on, it was over 12 years of embarrassing pictures (duck lips + peace sign combo, anyone?), cringe worth statuses (“Gym, homework, then din din with my girlies ❤”), and a ridiculous amount of time “researching” (stalking).
Yet, Facebook didn’t always serve…
I am notorious for never upgrading my phone.
Throughout all four years of college, I had a flip phone that cost $20 at most. Towards the end of senior year, I finally upgraded to a Sidekick-esque Android, and was astonished I could take pictures on it. I couldn’t send or see any pictures I received, because, you know, I had a college budget to buy a phone.
Regardless, it was a big step. After a family member stated that my phone was embarrassing (let’s be honest, it was), I upgraded to my first iPhone. …
